Has metal end caps on the filter element, a standard nitrile anti-drainback valve and a seemingly good flow. They are manufactured by the Dana corperation. These appear to have a depth gradient filter element, which uses cotton fibers to progressively trap smaller particles as they get deeper in the filter. This helps maintain good flow as the filter gets plugged.

Fits properly on a SR20DE....no leaks or burstage so far after 4500 km. Mechanic says that the 51356 would also be compatible with this vehicle, will try it next time.

Fast Delivery, but disappointed the filters were not sealed as great as this filter was recommended by Subaru Owners. I thought at least the filters would come sealed in a 'plastic' wrap of some sort. I'm worried no debris got into this filter that's going on to my car next week. Price was reasonable @ $8.xx or per unit. I live in Ontario, Canada and this filter goes for $13+(13% HST tax). So definitely a big saving for a well rounded filter. I hardly drive so these 6 filters should cover me a good 2-3 years.

Great, I put 1000 miles on my car last weekend and haven't had any problems.
