5It's save my b...  Jun 15, 2009
By Hung Vu
I'm a handy man but armature in doing many things. It does save money when you can do it yourself but sometimes you might run into resistance.
After pin point that my car needed an oxygen sensor using the tech tool. It looked like a piece of cake. Take the old one out then put the new one in, that's it. But when I tried to remove the sensor, it wouldn't come out easily like the spark plug. I ended up with striping most of it threads in the catalyst during the process. The new one refused to go in. I could only screw it in just a couple of threads then ran the car temporarily.
I ordered this thread chaser for a low cost and it worked great for me. I took the oxygen sensor back out and re-thread the catalyst mounting hole and now the sensor is mounted correctly as it should be.
This is one of the tool that an amateur mechanic should have just in case.

5Handy for Spark Plug and O2 Sensor Replacement  Aug 11, 2010
By TechRules "Quality1st"
Especially when they 'seize', some of the metal from the spark plug or oxygen sensor threads can remain bonded to the harder engine or exhaust metal when removed. Having one of these in your toolbox can be a lifesaver at such times to clean the threads before mounting the new O2 sensor or plug. Works as advertised, and when needed, could be the best $10 purchase you've ever made.

5You'll need one of these in your toolbox  Dec 29, 2009

Eventually. If the O2 sensor leaves mangled threads, this will clean them up without having to pull the manifold. Great tool

4Does what it says  Aug 12, 2011

I got this since I was changing out the O2 sensor myself this time in my 1994 Honda Civic (244k miles on it). Tough to pull the old sensor out, ran the thread chaser in and out a couple of times after removing the O2 sensor and the new one went in no problem. A must for a do-it-yourselfer...

5I'm glad I bought it  Mar 05, 2011
By Mr. N. Broadrick
Alas, I bought this and I didn't need. Hey, that's definitely GOOD news! It is well made and it would perform its function well if needed. It's great to know that it is in my tool chest in case I ever do need it.
