Stops squeal May 08, 2012

My 2000 blazer had a constant loud squeal, causing stares at lights and stop signs.
Tried 2 different belts from the auto stores, quiet for a mile then the noise returns.
All pulleys were checked and were good. AC was almost new as was the alternator.
Tried the gatorback, noise was instantly gone and has stayed gone. Will buy an extra to keep
as a spare. Can't find them locally. Highly recommend for belt noises.

I have been having a squeaking noise in my 2004 Chevy Silverado 1500 for a while. It started out only when it was damp so I replaced the belt and the idler pulley and it went away for a couple of months. Then it came back all of the time dry or wet outside so I changed the tensioner and pulley but it still squeaked. So I looked around online and people said that they had tried 4 or 5 belts and the Gatorback worked. So I ordered mine from amazon where I found the best price and I received it in two days. Put on the belt and no more annoying noise. Great product and great service.

I have always put Gatorbacks on my vehicles, they seem to be of a little better quality and much grippier. The belt went on easily, I needed it for a 2001 Jeep Cherokee. Not much sound difference, I guess you could say it got a little quieter. Overall though very happy with the belt and the price.

If you know what you are doing it will take you about 15 minutes to change this belt. It took me 35 my first time. The belt works perfectly and removed all the slips and squeals I had before. There are serveral videos online you can watch on how to change this belt.

These are little more expensive, but the belts are the best anywhere. I have installed private label, Gates, Dayco, AC Delco and Napa but none perform or last like the Goodyear Gatorback belts.
