Lightning fast windows! Feb 21, 2012

For several months i had been fighting the old motor (replaced the brushes, cleaned and lubbed everything, aligned the motor axis, etc...) and i got tired of hearing it whine and die on me a week later, so i decided it was time for a replacement. A friend mentioned he got this exact model and it would even break the ice of his windows, i took his word for it and i'm so pleased i did... Installation was a breeze, all the required hardware is supplied and all it took was taking down the door trim and exchanging the motors, the only thing i didn't like was the self-tapping screws, just take a little care and they will go in just fine. What a change!, the window rolls down and up faster than in most new cars (while i can't help but smile). Count me as an extremelly satisfied customer!. About the durability/reliability, only time will tell.
P.S.: Btw, if you own a Ford Bronco (80-96) or F-150/250/350, the passenger side and tailgate (Bronco only) replacement motors will be these: Dorman 742-251 Front Passenger Side Power Window Lift Motor for Lincoln/Ford/Mercury

This is a very well built and trustworthy motor. It Installed perfectly into the factory location on the door, and the wiring harness that came with it matched my 94 explorer perfectly and had plenty of play to put the wires where I wanted to. I would definitely buy from Dorman again.

Perfect fit and easy to install. Very good quality and saved over 30% what it would have cost me to buy locally.
If you are going to do the replacement yourself remember to tape the window up and to have someone help you.
You will have to move the window up and down to remove the four or five rivets or bolts.

motor works good the reason i gave it 4 stars is the lead that i needed was smashed and i had to cut my old one and use it.
