3A let down from a great manufacturer  Oct 17, 2007
By ohGr "ohgrfreak"
Bosch has always done right by me in the car parts field, I buy Bosch when OEM is not available. Wipers I try to do right, I can spend a little more and feel good doing it when I can see out my windsheild. This is the first of Bosch's wipers to let me down, they didn't last long at all, they needed to be replaced in well less than a year, and that's with very little use. I'll stick with the basic Bosch wipers or PIAA next time.

The only upside, these are lookers! All my car-guy buddies love the euro look, but in the end, when safety is concerned, it's not worth it.

23 years old "new" blades  Nov 16, 2010
By Chen
I'm very very disappointed at Amazon, this review is not towards this product, but worth your consideration.
I received my shipment today (November 2010), but the two blades was 2007. 3 years old. No matter what technology it is, it's rubber. If you left an eraser in the drawer for three years, it becomes very sticky. 3 years window sealant begins to crack. I guess similar things could happen to these two 2007 years blades too.

I was planning to return it, but mail such a big box could cost a lot.

Bottom line is selling me a 3 year old rubber equals to selling me a 1 year old food. Amazon sold me some good stuff, but after this incidence I will take cautions before buying.

1does a poor job  Mar 27, 2008
By Kev
This size wiper is for the drivers side of my Ion. It came out of the box with quite a curve on it (concave) and after installation, it leaves most of the middle of its wipe area untouched. I originally saw an add for this type wiper in a magazine and thought it would be great, and was willing to spend the extra$ for a really good wiper, but its very disappointing. The passenger side wiper seems to work ok though.

5Best wiper blades around  Jan 28, 2008
By Jru
I needed new wiper blades for my VW and did a bunch of research. Just about every person or place I looked for an answer at recommended these blades or the PIAA super silicones. I went with the bosch just because I have a german car and use bosch parts already. I am glad I did, these are by far the best wiper blades I have ever seen. They do a fantastic job and leave no streaks. The best part is that they make zero noise, even on dry glass. I always had issues where there was not enough rain to keep the glass wet at the slowest interval setting and once it was too dry the blades squeaked. I had to turn the wipers on and off as needed (what a pain). These are so quit you don't even notice them working.
Amazon had these blades at the lowest price, so if you can wait to get them in the mail, buy them here and not at the store, you will save a good chunk of change. These blades are more money than the cheapo blades but it is worth double the price I paid easy.

As a side note, I have seen rain-x advertising similar blades for less money. Apparently they decided to steal bosch's new design, so perhaps you may want to look into the rain-x ones a s a cheaper alternative.

5Where the rubber meets the road  Oct 19, 2007
By Rosemary Thornton "Niece of Addie Hoyt Fargo (age 29)"
For more than 30 years, I've searched high and low for the perfect wiper blade. Being a little tiny bit obsessive about my car, one of the things I can NOT tolerate is a chattering, noisy, smeary, streaky wiper blade. Driving in the rain is hard enough without feeling like you're trying to look through a wax-paper windshield.

In the past, I'd put new wiper blades on my car two or three times a year and sometimes more, just to make sure I never had to deal with wiper smear or worse, wiper chatter. That sound is like fingernails on a blackboard to me!!

I'd also clean the rubber edge several times between blade changes, to keep the leading edge clean and free from debris and gooey tree gunk and junk. Due to my desire to keep the finest quality blades on the car, I'd only buy authentic Toyota blades for my 2003 Camry and then one day...

An associate at the local Toyota dealer talked me into buying the rubber inserts for the blades, rather than the whole blade assembly. For 20 minutes, I waited and watched as she fiddled around trying desperately to get the inserts into the arm assembly. Two days later (and 10 minutes of use later), while driving in a light rain storm, the whole thing came apart in pieces, scratching my windshield in the process. It was a Sunday afternoon (dealer was closed), so I drove directly to the auto parts store and told them I wanted the most expensive wiper-blade they sold. They took me to the Bosch Icon and said, "these are the best, but they're pricey."

I couldn't be more pleased with the quality and performance of this product. The two blades I bought for Cammie cost less than $50 which isn't THAT much contrasted against the frustration of not being able to see clearly through the windshield when it rains.

April 2008 UPDATE: I am on my second pair of Bosch Icons and I'm saddened to say that I am no longer "raving" about these things. While they're just swell for the first 60 days, they deteriorate quickly after that and become streaky and smeary. When I was buying wiper blades for my daughter's car, I asked the auto parts guy about the Bosch Icon. He replied, "I'm not that impressed with them either. They don't last long."
