Great item...lousy customer service!!! Feb 12, 2009
By kegler280 I purchased this item for use in my 98 Saturn SL2. The sensor doesn't look exactly like the OEM one but it works and fits like the original one. The size of the wrench needed to remove the sensor is 22 mm. It installs easily and the electrical connector is the same.
It comes with anti seize compound on the threads. Be careful not to get the compound on the open ports of the sensor as it may affect its performance. The sensor appears to be working as it should. The service engine soon light has not come back on since I installed the new sensor and the gas mileage has even improved!
As for the shipping, that's another story. The product page states the item is eligible for free Super saver shipping. When I went to order, the only options available was for one day and two day shipping. Even with the $20 for shipping, the item was still cheaper than purchasing it here locally in Hawaii. Still, $20 shipping for an item that is approx. four inches long and weighs five ounces is absurd. I've purchased DVD sets that were bigger and heavier that were able to be shipped via Super saver shipping.
I e mailed Amazon's customer service repeatedly to find out why the item couldn't be shipped Super saver shipping or at least a cheaper way than one day or two day shipping. I did not receive a satisfactory answer.
They kept on giving me boiler plate responses that didn't specifically answer my question then stopped answering my e mails all together. Very frustrating!!!

Excellent quality product Mar 04, 2009
By R. Schuler My results in a 1998 Saturn SL2 included a much smoother idle, increased performance during acceleration and a consistent 3 MPG increase in fuel economy. Don't wait for the check engine light to come on (which it also cured, in my case) replace it at specified intervals to keep your car running smoothly.
Installation note: to tighten the sensor to required torque spec, you will need a crow's foot adapter, which you can get on loan for free from most auto parts stores.
Good Oxygen Sensor Nov 16, 2011
By Alan Installed the sensor in my 99 Saturn a week ago, the check engine light has not come on since. It was simple to install and the wire was the exact length and fit.
Shipping and packaging were also good.Amazon is a good place to shop.
Works Great! Feb 03, 2010
By ChuckFan Worked great on our 1997 Saturn SL2. Not only did it cure the check engine light but the car runs much smoother than it has in a couple years especially during acceleration. Seems to have much more power now and better MPH. It took me about 2 minutes to remove the old one and put this one in and I am someone who doesn't work on cars unless it's to replace a battery(if I can get at it)or something simple. The old one was the original and took a bit of force but not to much to get it to move and once it did move it was immediately easy to hand turn. I bought a 22mm wrench from here for about $5 and used that. The new one I hand tightened and then turned it no more than a 1/4 turn to set it in tight. Works great and it sells here for $20 cheaper than the local discount part stores.
Yep, it works May 29, 2009
By Jay Philip Houtz My 2002 Saturn SL2 was running rich and overdue for an upstream o2 sensor.
The sensor was a piece of cake to install and even came with antiseize on the threads.
Now my engine is back to it's old self and running strong and smooth, and my gas mileage
jumped about 5mpg's!
