Would be nice if they were better packaged Nov 24, 2011

My brake shoes arrived loose in the box which they obviously tried extremely hard to escape from. The box had some holes ripped in it from the inside which I would assume was from the sharp corners of the brake shoes banging into the box during shipping. Also they have some small pieces broken out of the brake lining material. It would have been nice if they were shrink wrapped to a piece of cardboard or otherwise secured since the box is easily twice as big as is necessary and they have plenty of room to bounce around in there.
At first I was alarmed when I found 2 of them to be nearly twice the thickness of the other 2, however this is by design, the braking system puts more load on one of the shoes as compared to the other so it has more lining to provide equal lifespan.
The brake shoes fit perfectly and did not produce any problems with installation once the self adjusters were wound back in, and have bedded in nicely with no noticeable brake noise and very little dust.
