I was a little worried that the air filter wouldn't fit correctly. In the description it states that it fits a highlander. Amazon's vehicle part checker worked like a charm. I chose to go with Wix instead of Denso, which is the factory brand. The Denso was shipped by another company instead of Amazon and was going to cost $18 just for shipping. The cabin filter was a simple pop in after taking the old filter from the plastic holder. The cabin filter for the RX is behind the glove compartment. To drop down the glove box just turn the two knobs counter-clockwise and pull them straight out.

This filter works fine as a replacement but it's not obvious how to orient the filter. I think even the OEM filter may have been oriented incorrectly. This filter doesn't have quite as much support ("netting") as the OEM.

I bought this filter because Amazon said it would fit my 2011 Sienna XLE 3.5L, but it's way off. Not Amazon's fault, the Wix website matched this to my Sienna, too. I did a little more poking around and found another Wix that matches the dimensions of my OE filter: Wix 24483 Cabin Air Filter for select Pontiac/Scion/Toyota models, Pack of 1.

Very similar to the OEM filter and easy to change. The dealer really overcharges for changing this filter given the low cost of the part and ease of installation. The filter does not clearly show the direction of air flow for installation which is the reason for 4 v. 5 stars.

I don't know what the shop would charge but it only took my husband 10 minutes to change the cabin filter in my 400H lexus. He took the old one out and put this one in and it fit like a charm...thanks..
