5Needed for Alignments  Jun 06, 2011
By MNP "MP"
You need two of these kits, one for each strut, in order to perform an alignment. There are no instructions with the kit. The one with the welded on off-set 'washer' goes on the bottom. It is turned to give slight adjustments to align your wheels as the off set washer pushes against the strut body. You MUST get an alignment after putting on this kit and I would say after putting in new struts. You are responsible to figure out how the kit is installed, this review is not meant as instructions for installation, but servers more as a warning there are no instructions and a general description of how they alignment kit works.

4Necessary for Grand Caravan with Monroe Struts  Apr 12, 2011
By mrprgrmr "jfr74"
This replaces the standard mounting bolt at the bottom of the the strut. Monroe struts have an oval hole that the mounting bolt goes through, instead of the round one on the factory struts (2004 Dodge Grand Caravan). It allows adjustment by turning the nut/cam which pushes against a couple tabs on the strut, aligning it. Once it is where you want it, hold the nut/cam in place while torquing down the bolt.

This is good and bad... it allows more fine tuning of the alignment but now the alignment shop charges me for an "advanced alignment" instead of a "standard" alignment. I guess it's their revenge for the fact that I installed my own struts! Anyone have any good references on DIY alignments??

5perfect fit and application  Jan 15, 2011

Needed to perform alignment after installing Monroe replacement struts, Shop wanted to charge over 150.00 to install their "alignment kit" which would have been the same thing.
